    Thank you. To shoot sports you will need a high shtuetr speed and plenty of light or fast lens. The 55-250 is not a fast lens, you can shoot sports with it in the day ( i have shot a few rugby matches) but with stadium or field lights you will have less lights. Set the camera on TV mode and dial in 1/500sec or faster set iso to auto. You may not have enough light with feild lights though with out faster glass (lens) F2.8 etc. Rick
